Every 40 seconds, someone becomes the victim of modern-day slavery! There are more slaves in the world today than at any other point in history with an estimated 40 million in bondage across the globe. Men, women, and children are being exploited for manual and sexual labor against their will. Sex and labor trafficking have occurred throughout the Detroit metro area and continue today. With no safe haven, identity or money, they lack the hope that their circumstances will ever change. Will you fight for freedom with us and help change a life? Hope Against Trafficking is a passionate advocate for survivors of human trafficking. Our Mission: To provide a safe place for adult female survivors of human trafficking to heal and reclaim their lives through transformative programming and development of life and job skills, while creating a sisterhood of support. Additionally, we are committed to community education and awareness to prevent future victimization. We are proud to announce our annual RUN TO SET THEM FREE 5K/ 10K Run and Kids Fun Run, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Independence Oaks County Park (Beach Cove), 9501 Sashabaw Road, Village of Clarkston, MI 48348. The proceeds from the Run to Set Them Free 5k/10K will go towards supporting survivors free from Human Trafficking. We can’t do this alone!
